Senior Procurement Contracts Coordinator

About the role

We are looking for a Senior Procurement Contracts Coordinator to lead the contracting processes within the Tupande procurement team in Kenya. The role will oversee tendering, long‑term agreement management and supplier performance to ensure cost‑effective and reliable supply of goods and services for One Acre Fund’s agricultural programmes.

Key responsibilities

• Run tenders and establish contracts for frequently needed goods, high‑value purchases and strategic items requiring long‑term agreements.
• Develop and maintain an annual tender calendar, monitor contract expiry dates and ensure timely renewals.
• Identify cost‑saving opportunities through upstream supplier relationships and set target prices before contracting.
• Provide Odoo contracting support, act as the Odoo tender master, run tenders in Odoo and train suppliers as needed.
• Track market trends, advise management on contracting risks and price changes, and report cost‑savings achieved.
• Support direct reports and coordinate cross‑country procurement projects and global contracts.
• Organise supplier meetings, evaluate performance and help minimise supply challenges.

Required profile

• Proven experience in procurement, tender management and contract administration, preferably in an agricultural or development context.
• Strong analytical skills with the ability to forecast needs and set realistic target prices.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder‑management abilities.
• Ability to work independently and lead a small team.
