Senior Project Manager – Site Installation of Converter Stations

About the role

As a Senior Project Manager you will lead the on‑site installation of converter stations for rail electrification projects. You will ensure that installation concepts are developed, implemented and delivered on time, within budget and to the required quality standards.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and implement installation concepts for converter stations.
• Coordinate tendering, award processes and construction supervision.
• Support the sales department with country strategies and partner qualification.
• Manage technical requirements, risk and opportunity throughout the project lifecycle.
• Monitor progress on site, control costs, schedule and quality, and report to stakeholders.
• Improve technical documentation and promote state‑of‑the‑art methods such as design‑to‑value engineering.
• Foster a global network of experts and share best practices across Siemens Mobility.

Required profile

• University degree (diploma or master’s) in engineering or a related field.
• Extensive experience in project management of rail electrification or similar large‑scale infrastructure projects.
• Proven track record in tendering, construction supervision and partner management.
• Strong ability to manage budgets, schedules and quality requirements.
• Excellent communication skills for stakeholder reporting and cross‑functional coordination.
