Senior Software Engineer – Remote Contract

About the role

We are seeking a Senior Software Engineer to join a global leader in software development on a contract basis. This fully remote position focuses on designing, building, and maintaining high‑performance, scalable applications while collaborating with cross‑functional teams.

Key responsibilities

• Design, implement, and optimise full‑stack software systems to meet performance and scalability goals.
• Collaborate with product managers and engineers to define technical requirements and roadmaps.
• Write clean, maintainable, and efficient code using modern languages and frameworks.
• Debug, troubleshoot, and resolve issues across distributed systems.
• Participate in code reviews, architectural discussions, and technical planning sessions.

Required profile

• Strong proficiency in at least one backend language (Python, Java, or Go) and solid understanding of data structures and algorithms.
• Experience with modern frontend frameworks such as React, Angular, or Vue.js.
• Familiarity with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud) and container orchestration tools (Docker, Kubernetes).
• Hands‑on experience with relational and NoSQL databases, including SQL optimisation and schema design.
• Ability to work independently in a remote environment and follow CI/CD best practices.
