Software Engineer Consultant – Digital Development

About the role

This consultancy focuses on advancing the digital development of WESR tools, including the EDC Toolkit and the WESR Knowledge Hub. The Software Engineer will design, develop, test, and transition core digital components to production, ensuring they are ready for pilot implementation and broader rollout.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and containerise the GEDS Assessment Tool backend and front‑end components.
• Build and integrate Capacity Pathways modules and assessment tool connections.
• Implement a React UI web application for the GEDS Toolkit and integrate resources via the CKAN API.
• Produce technical documentation and conduct knowledge‑transfer sessions for internal teams.
• Provide advisory and technical support to the WESR infrastructure as required.

Required profile

• Proven experience in full‑stack software development, preferably in consultancy or project‑based environments.
• Ability to work independently and deliver production‑ready code within agreed timelines.
• Strong communication skills for documentation and knowledge‑transfer activities.
