Software Engineer – Human Data Platforms (Remote)

About the role

We are seeking a Software Engineer to join a leading data‑infrastructure team and build scalable platforms that process human‑generated datasets. The role is fully remote and focuses on designing, developing, and maintaining high‑performance data pipelines and backend services.

Key responsibilities

• Design, build, and optimise data pipelines for large‑scale human‑generated data.
• Develop and maintain backend services supporting real‑time and batch processing.
• Collaborate with data scientists and analysts to ensure data integrity and accessibility.
• Implement monitoring, logging, and alerting to guarantee platform reliability.
• Contribute to architectural decisions that improve scalability and performance.

Required profile

• Strong problem‑solving abilities and attention to detail when debugging complex systems.
• Experience designing and optimising data pipelines for performance and scalability.
• Ability to work effectively in a distributed, collaborative team environment.

Required skills

• Python, Java, or Go
• Kafka, Spark or similar distributed‑system technologies
• AWS, GCP or Azure cloud platforms
• SQL and NoSQL databases
• Docker and Kubernetes
