About the role
We are looking for a motivated Solar PV Trainee to join our team in Nairobi. The role offers hands‑on experience in installing, commissioning and maintaining photovoltaic systems across off‑grid, hybrid and grid‑tied projects.
Key responsibilities
- Assist in the installation, testing, commissioning and routine maintenance of Solar PV systems.
- Conduct site surveys, inspections and prepare basic technical and service reports.
- Troubleshoot and repair system faults to ensure optimal performance.
- Support project delivery while adhering to safety and quality standards.
- Provide excellent customer service during field operations.
Required profile
- Diploma in Electrical Engineering, Electrical & Electronics Engineering, Solar PV Technology or a related field.
- Minimum 2 years of experience in Solar PV installation and maintenance.
- Valid EPRA Solar PV Technician License and a driving licence are an advantage.
Required skills
- Solar PV installation and maintenance.
- Knowledge of off‑grid, hybrid and grid‑tied Solar PV systems.
- Ability to read electrical drawings and troubleshoot PV systems.
