About the role

Oshwal Academy, a private international school delivering the British curriculum, is seeking a Special Needs Education Teacher to join its dynamic team in Westlands, Nairobi. The successful candidate will provide tailored instruction and support to students with diverse learning needs, ensuring an inclusive and high‑quality educational experience.

Key responsibilities

• Design and deliver differentiated lesson plans that align with the British National Curriculum and meet individual IEP goals.
• Assess student progress through formative and summative evaluations, maintaining accurate records.
• Collaborate with classroom teachers, support staff, and parents to coordinate interventions and monitor outcomes.
• Manage classroom behavior, establishing a safe and structured learning environment.
• Participate in professional development and contribute to the school’s inclusive education policies.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Education (B.Ed.) or a related specialization.
• Minimum of four years of teaching experience, preferably with special‑needs learners.
• Registered with the Teachers Service Commission (TSC) of Kenya.
• Experience teaching the British curriculum is an advantage.
• Demonstrated senior‑level expertise and leadership in an educational setting.
