Strategic Pricing Advisor

About the role

Mercy Corps is seeking a Strategic Pricing Advisor to join its finance team in Nairobi. You will work closely with the Strategic Pricing Senior Manager and proposal teams to design competitive pricing strategies for donor-funded opportunities.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and refine pricing strategies for funding opportunities in collaboration with senior managers and program teams.
• Review and validate budget assumptions, scenarios, calculations and supporting documentation to ensure accuracy and compliance.
• Partner with business development and regional teams to assess financial feasibility and commercial pricing options.
• Support the creation of cost proposals, value‑for‑money analyses, and consortium budgets with international and local partners.
• Evaluate commercial models and partner arrangements where applicable.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, Business or a related field.
• 2‑4 years of experience in budgeting, proposal finance, pricing or a similar role, preferably within an INGO or complex operating environment.
• Understanding of donor funding mechanisms and competitive proposal development processes.
• Strong analytical and problem‑solving abilities with high attention to detail.
• Excellent communication skills to convey complex financial information to non‑finance stakeholders.
• Ability to manage multiple deadlines in a fast‑paced environment and work collaboratively across functions.
