Systems & Infrastructure Engineer – Remote Contract

About the role

We are seeking a Systems & Infrastructure Engineer to join a global leader in Information Services on a contract basis. The role is fully remote and focuses on maintaining, optimizing, and scaling critical cloud and hybrid infrastructure to ensure high‑availability for a diverse user base.

Key responsibilities

• Design, deploy and maintain scalable infrastructure solutions across AWS, Azure or Google Cloud environments.
• Monitor system performance, diagnose bottlenecks and implement corrective actions to minimize downtime.
• Automate routine tasks using Terraform, Ansible, Pulumi and scripting languages.
• Support containerized workloads with Docker and Kubernetes, and integrate monitoring tools such as Prometheus, Grafana or the ELK Stack.
• Collaborate with development and operations teams to align infrastructure with application and business requirements.
• Document configurations, SOPs and incident response procedures.

Required profile

• Proven experience with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, Google Cloud).
• Hands‑on expertise in infrastructure‑as‑code tools (Terraform, Ansible, Pulumi).
• Strong background in containerization and orchestration (Docker, Kubernetes).
• Familiarity with monitoring/logging stacks (Prometheus, Grafana, ELK).
• Solid scripting skills (Bash, Python, Go) and networking knowledge (VPNs, load balancers, firewalls).
• Prior experience supporting production environments on a contract or freelance basis is preferred.
