Systems & Infrastructure Engineer – Remote

About the role

We are seeking a Systems & Infrastructure Engineer to join a global leader in the Information Services industry on a contract basis. The role is fully remote and focuses on maintaining, scaling, and optimizing critical cloud and hybrid environments to ensure high availability and performance.

Key responsibilities

• Design, deploy, and maintain scalable infrastructure solutions across AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud.
• Monitor system performance, diagnose bottlenecks, and implement corrective actions to prevent downtime.
• Automate routine tasks using Terraform, Ansible, Pulumi, Bash, Python, or Go.
• Collaborate with development and operations teams to align infrastructure with application and business needs.
• Document configurations, standard operating procedures, and incident response processes.

Required profile

• Proven experience supporting production environments, preferably in a contract or freelance capacity.
• Strong understanding of networking concepts such as VPNs, load balancers, and firewalls.
• Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and their integration with infrastructure management.
