About the role

Amentum is seeking a reliable Taxi Driver to support a unique U.S. Navy program on the island of Diego Garcia. The role involves operating non‑tactical vehicles safely, providing transportation for authorized personnel, and ensuring vehicle readiness in a remote, multi‑national environment.

Key responsibilities

• Operate Non‑Tactical Vehicles and Equipment (NTVE) in compliance with NAVFAC P‑300 standards.
• Provide safe, courteous transportation services to authorized personnel according to schedule.
• Maintain vehicle cleanliness, conduct basic inspections, and report any mechanical issues promptly.
• Ensure accurate vehicle logs and trip reports are completed and submitted.
• Follow local traffic laws, organizational policies, and emergency procedures.
• Perform other duties consistent with the position as assigned.

Required profile

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Valid driver’s license appropriate for the assigned vehicles.
• Minimum two years’ experience operating light or medium‑duty vehicles in a professional setting.
• Ability to work independently and follow established policies.
• Valid passport (minimum one‑year validity) and ability to obtain required visas.
• Pass contract medical requirements and maintain them throughout deployment.
• Proficiency in reading, speaking, and understanding English.

Required skills

• Knowledge of NAVFAC P‑300 standards for NTVE operation.
• Valid driver’s license for the vehicle class.
