Technical Planner – Maintenance & Engineering Coordination

About the role

We are looking for a proactive Technical Planner to support the Technical Manager in overseeing maintenance and engineering activities across our sites in Nairobi and Mombasa. The role ensures that technical projects and maintenance tasks are properly planned, resourced, and executed efficiently.

Key responsibilities

• Coordinate ongoing technical projects across Nairobi and Mombasa, developing and maintaining project timelines.
• Track technical works, providing regular updates on progress, delays, and next steps.
• Monitor technician assignments, workloads, and daily activities to optimise deployment.
• Prepare weekly and monthly work plans for technicians and follow up on task completion.
• Liaise with procurement, stores and other departments to ensure timely availability of parts and tools.
• Maintain accurate work orders and project documentation.
• Identify bottlenecks in project execution and recommend solutions.
• Support the development and implementation of preventive maintenance schedules.
• Participate in planning meetings, offering insights on team capacity and project feasibility.

Required profile

• Diploma or degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering or Mechatronics Engineering.
• 3–5 years of experience in a technical or engineering coordination/planning role.
• Strong understanding of project scheduling, work order systems and maintenance planning.
• Experience coordinating technical teams across multiple sites is an advantage.
• Excellent communication, organisational and follow‑up skills.
