Technical Support Operator – Nyanza (Rongo)

About the role

We are looking for a Technical Support Operator to join Mogo Kenya Limited in Rongo, Nyanza. The role combines vehicle inspection, valuation, and the installation of GPS tracking equipment for motorcycles and cars that are part of our loan portfolio. You will work directly with clients, repair teams and internal compliance units to ensure high‑quality technical service.

Key responsibilities

• Inspect repossessed motorcycles, document condition, damages and prepare detailed reports.
• Perform car valuations using industry‑standard techniques, considering make, model, year, mileage and market trends.
• Install GPS trackers and SIM cards on vehicles, verify functionality and follow safety guidelines.
• Carry out minor motorcycle repairs and coordinate with repair teams for more complex issues.
• Provide technical assistance to clients during the loan application process, answering questions about vehicle‑related requirements.
• Maintain accurate records of inspections, installations, valuations and repairs, and generate compliance reports.
• Identify and report fraudulent vehicles, such as tampered or mismatched chassis numbers.
• Uphold quality standards and suggest process improvements.

Required profile

• Diploma or degree in engineering or a related technical field.
• Minimum 2 years of relevant experience in vehicle inspection, GPS installation or automotive support.
• Fluent in English and Swahili.
• Strong knowledge of the Kenyan car market and vehicle technical structures.
• High sense of responsibility and attention to detail.
