Technical Support Operator – Vehicle & GPS

About the role

We are looking for a Technical Support Operator to join Mogo Kenya Limited in Nairobi. The role focuses on inspecting, valuing and installing tracking equipment on motorcycles and cars that are part of our loan portfolio, ensuring safety, compliance and customer satisfaction.

Key responsibilities

• Conduct thorough inspections of repossessed motorcycles, document damages and provide repair recommendations.
• Evaluate car values using industry‑standard valuation techniques, considering make, model, year, condition, mileage and market trends.
• Install GPS trackers on vehicles and ensure proper functionality.
• Install SIM cards into GPS devices.
• Perform minor repairs and maintenance on motorcycles.
• Provide technical guidance to clients during the loan application process.
• Maintain accurate records of inspections, valuations, installations and repairs; generate comprehensive reports.
• Uphold quality standards and continuously seek process improvements.
• Build positive customer relationships through professional technical support.
• Follow company policies, industry regulations and safety protocols in all tasks.
• Conduct holistic vehicle assessments, identify fraudulent or tampered vehicles.

Required profile

• Diploma or degree in engineering or a related field.
• Minimum 2 years of relevant experience.
• Fluent in English and Swahili.
• Good knowledge of the Kenyan car market and vehicle technical structures.
• High sense of responsibility and attention to detail.
