Title Assistant

About the role

The Title Assistant provides direct administrative and production support to Title Officers, ensuring accurate and timely processing of title files. This on‑site position involves research, document preparation, and coordination with county courthouses to issue low‑risk title insurance products.

Key responsibilities

• Assist Title Officers with daily title production activities and file setup.
• Conduct land and name searches using the company’s title plant and public records.
• Produce and maintain low‑risk title insurance products, including reports, guarantees, and junior loan policies.
• Review documents for accuracy before recording and prepare policy write‑ups.
• Provide phone coverage, respond to customer and internal inquiries, and communicate with external partners.
• Maintain organized electronic files and ensure compliance with company and underwriter guidelines.

Required profile

• High school diploma or GED (or equivalent experience).
• Prior experience in title, escrow, real estate, or related administrative roles preferred.
• Strong organizational skills with high attention to detail.
• Ability to type 40+ words per minute accurately.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Capability to manage multiple tasks in a fast‑paced environment.
