Tour Manager - Sales & Operations

About the role

The Tour Manager – Sales & Operations will lead the end‑to‑end commercial and operational delivery of tours for Omotic General Trading PLC. Reporting to Executive Management, this on‑site role is based in Westlands, Nairobi and involves frequent travel across Southern Ethiopia and the Omo Valley.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and maintain a 12‑24 month sales pipeline, creating annual and quarterly sales plans by market, segment and product.
• Generate and convert enquiries through persuasive proposals, digital lead generation and commercial writing.
• Coordinate all operational elements – guides, drivers, vehicles, permits, accommodation and meals – ensuring cost‑effective execution and safety.
• Monitor revenue, gross contribution and cash collection while protecting margins.
• Track digital marketing performance, linking enquiries and bookings to specific channels and campaigns.
• Maintain strong relationships with tour operators, suppliers and internal teams.

Required profile

• Minimum 5 years of experience in tourism, hospitality or travel sales and operations.
• Proven track record of building long‑term tour pipelines and delivering profitable tours.
• Strong commercial acumen with ability to manage budgets, cost control and margin protection.
• Excellent communication and negotiation skills with both domestic and international clients.
• Willingness to travel regularly across Ethiopia and the Omo Valley.
