About the role
We are looking for a Trade Development Representative to drive the recruitment and management of agents and SSO (Sub‑Station Operators) in Elgeyo Marakwet, Kenya. The role focuses on expanding mobile‑money and telecom distribution networks through proactive outreach, training and compliance monitoring.
Key responsibilities
- Identify, recruit and map agents and mobile‑money outlets, following agreed beat plans.
- Visit SSO and agent locations regularly to ensure adherence to call‑rate targets.
- Provide business tools, conduct training on transaction processes, AML and KYC procedures.
- Monitor stock levels, enforce the 1.5× stock rule and ensure sufficient SIM inventory for new registrations.
- Develop and maintain merchandising standards by supplying promotional materials to outlets.
Required profile
- Diploma or Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing or a related field.
- Minimum one year of experience in sales and distribution within FMCG or telecommunications.
Required skills
- Knowledge of AML and KYC compliance processes.
- Understanding of SIM registration and stock management.
