Trade Policy Internship

About the role

The Kenya Association of Manufacturers is seeking a motivated intern to support trade‑related processes including AGOA export facilitation, immigration procedures, customs and tariff matters, and policy work.

Key responsibilities

• AGOA Visa Processing – receive, review and organise AGOA visa applications, verify supporting documents, maintain accurate records and track application progress.
• Industrial Spares Applications – receive and organise applications, conduct preliminary document checks, maintain records and assist with filing approved certificates.
• Immigration Document Processing – receive and review work permits, special passes and other immigration documents, verify completeness, coordinate follow‑up and maintain application trackers.
• Trade Policy Support – provide administrative assistance to the Trade & Policy Unit, conduct research, prepare reports and support stakeholder engagements.

Required profile

• Bachelor of Commerce or Business Administration degree from a recognised institution.
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy, with excellent organisational and record‑management skills.
