Training & Recruitment Team Leader

About the role

The Training & Recruitment Team Leader will be based at Hatari Security Guards' training school in Westlands, Nairobi. This role is responsible for designing, delivering and overseeing all training programmes for security officers while also managing the end‑to‑end recruitment process.

Key responsibilities

• Lead onboarding, background checks and induction of new security personnel in line with company standards.
• Develop, update and deliver a comprehensive security training curriculum, including workshops and emergency‑response drills.
• Monitor staff performance, conduct assessments and organise refresher training to close skill gaps.
• Ensure all training activities comply with legal requirements, industry regulations and best practices.
• Collaborate with area managers to address resourcing gaps and devise threat‑mitigation strategies.
• Maintain accurate records of training attendance, certifications, recruitment files and qualification databases.
• Prepare training reports, briefing notes and manage administrative processes for both training and recruitment.

Required profile

• Minimum of 3 years proven experience in a training and/or recruitment role within security or related fields.
• Certification in First Aid, Fire Safety or another relevant security‑related course.
• Basic recruit training from disciplined forces, law enforcement or military background is an advantage.
• Member of PSRA or a comparable professional training body.
• High level of physical fitness.
