Transport Administrator – Subcontractor

About the role

The Transport Administrator (Subcontractor) supports DHL Supply Chain Kenya’s transport operations by handling administrative and operational tasks. The role ensures smooth coordination of vehicles, drivers, documentation, compliance, and reporting to meet service and cost‑control objectives.

Key responsibilities

• Coordinate daily transport activities and maintain accurate transport records.
• Manage vehicle licensing, insurance, permits, and ensure timely renewals.
• Assist with driver timesheets, payroll inputs, and fleet database updates.
• Monitor fleet performance, availability, utilization, and compliance with regulations.
• Support investigations of accidents and incidents, and promote a safety‑first culture.
• Track traffic violations, fines, and corrective actions.
• Generate daily, weekly, and monthly transport reports.
• Handle dispatch control, delivery documents, vehicle keys, GPS devices, fuel cards, and mobile phones.
• Communicate delivery issues with customer service and relevant stakeholders.

Required profile

• Diploma or degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management or a related field.
• 2‑5 years of experience in logistics, transport administration or a similar operational environment.
• Proven experience in transport administration or dispatch.
