Transport Coordinator

About the role

The Transport Coordinator will plan, organise and monitor daily transportation operations, ensuring safe, timely and cost‑effective movement of vehicles and cargo for BrighterMonday Consulting in Nairobi.

Key responsibilities

• Plan and coordinate daily transport schedules and routes.
• Assign vehicles and drivers according to operational needs.
• Monitor vehicle movements, ensuring timely deliveries and pickups.
• Communicate schedule changes, route updates and emergencies to drivers.
• Maintain accurate transport records, logs and performance reports.
• Ensure compliance with transport regulations, safety standards and company policies.
• Coordinate vehicle maintenance and repairs to minimise downtime.
• Resolve issues such as delays, breakdowns or customer complaints.
• Collaborate with warehouse, logistics and customer service teams for smooth operations.
• Monitor driver performance and promote adherence to safety procedures.
• Assist in preparing transportation budgets and performance reports.

Required profile

• Degree or Diploma in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Business Management or a related field.
• Minimum three years of progressive experience coordinating and supervising fleet operations.
• Strong knowledge of vehicle maintenance management and transport regulations.
• Leadership, analytical, organisational and problem‑solving abilities.
