Volunteer Faculty – Mass Communication

About the role

Africa Nazarene University seeks a dedicated volunteer faculty member to teach and develop its Mass Communication program. This full‑time, on‑site position offers the chance to shape curriculum, mentor students, and contribute to academic research in a spiritually supportive environment.

Key responsibilities

• Design, plan, and implement high‑quality curriculum and lesson plans for undergraduate and graduate courses.
• Prepare and deliver both contact‑learning and online teaching materials, employing diverse methods such as field studies, group projects, and laboratory sessions.
• Develop assessment strategies, supervise student research, internships, and capstone projects.
• Engage in departmental research, publish findings, and participate in grant writing and collaborations.
• Provide academic and career advising to students as needed.
• Represent the department at conferences, workshops, industry linkages, and outreach activities.
• Support administrative and field operations within the department.

Required profile

• PhD in a relevant field, or a Master’s degree with a PhD candidate in the final data‑collection stage.
• Minimum three years of relevant industry experience.
• Strong communication, interpersonal, organizational, and research abilities.
