About the role

The Wait Staff member will be the front‑line host for customers at YARA'S KARAK & GO LIMITED in Westlands, Nairobi. You will ensure fast, friendly service for sit‑in, takeaway and car‑side orders while maintaining a clean and welcoming environment.

Key responsibilities

• Serve sit‑in, takeaway and car customers promptly, taking orders within 1–2 minutes.
• Confirm all payment types, record transaction details, and issue receipts.
• Handle MPESA payments by writing transaction code, time and date on the printed receipt.
• Process card payments using the POS system and attach the receipt to the order slip.
• Manage cash transactions, indicate amount paid and provide change slips when required.
• Clear tables, reset them within 60 seconds after guests leave, and keep indoor/outdoor areas tidy.
• Apply stickers to cups with correct branding as directed by the cashier or lead.
• Maintain shop aesthetics and follow customer‑care SOPs, ensuring a pleasant shop vibe.

Required profile

• Entry‑level candidates with up to 24 months of experience in hospitality or food service.
• Ability to work quickly and accurately in a high‑traffic environment.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to cleanliness.

Required skills

• Proficiency in handling MPESA transactions.
• Experience using point‑of‑sale (POS) systems for card payments.
