Waitstaff – Westlands

About the role

We are looking for enthusiastic waitstaff to join our Westlands coffee shop. You will be the face of the restaurant, ensuring guests enjoy a seamless dining experience from ordering to payment.

Key responsibilities

• Present menu options, suggest items, and upsell daily specials.
• Take orders accurately, input them into the POS, and deliver food and beverages to tables.
• Monitor guest satisfaction, address concerns promptly, and notify the manager when needed.
• Handle cash, maintain shift float, and process payments efficiently.
• Manage inventory tasks such as ordering via Vuka, receiving deliveries, and stocking supplies.
• Prepare and dispatch online orders from aggregator platforms.
• Maintain cleanliness of tables, counters, and overall restaurant area, adhering to hygiene standards.
• Report any maintenance or IT issues to the Area Manager and complete end‑of‑shift closing duties.

Required profile

• Ability to work under pressure and long hours.
• Team‑player with strong customer‑orientation.
• Good planning, interpersonal and communication skills.
• Result‑oriented, self‑driven, articulate and proactive.

Required skills

• Proficiency with Point of Sale (POS) systems.
