Warehouse Coordinator – Operations & Team Lead

About the role

The Warehouse Coordinator will manage day‑to‑day activities of the Nairobi warehouse, ensuring timely receiving, order processing, dispatch and accurate inventory control. The role combines operational oversight with team leadership to drive efficiency, safety and customer satisfaction.

Key responsibilities

• Oversee daily warehouse operations, including receiving, order processing, dispatch, proof‑of‑delivery handling and returns.
• Maintain accurate inventory records and conduct daily cycle counts and monthly reporting.
• Lead, mentor and schedule a diverse team, fostering a collaborative, high‑performance culture.
• Build and sustain strong relationships with customers, addressing complaints promptly.
• Identify and mitigate risks in warehouse and last‑mile delivery processes.
• Ensure compliance with safety regulations and warehouse standard operating procedures.
• Implement process improvements and leverage technology and data analytics to increase efficiency.
• Monitor expenditures, introduce cost‑saving measures and optimise truck utilisation.
• Prepare and submit regular reports to management and clients, including POD and stock‑take documentation.
• Champion sustainability initiatives and support ESG goals within the warehouse.

Required profile

• Mid‑level professional with at least 3 years of experience in warehouse or logistics operations.
• Proven ability to lead, coach and motivate a team.
• Strong knowledge of safety standards, regulatory compliance and SOP adherence.
• Analytical mindset with experience using data to drive process improvements.
• Excellent communication skills for customer interaction and stakeholder coordination.
