Welder – Project Based (Construction)

About the role

We are looking for an experienced welder to join our construction projects on a project‑based basis in Westlands, Nairobi. The role involves performing a variety of welding techniques to fabricate and assemble metal components according to project specifications.

Key responsibilities

• Perform MIG, TIG, ARC and other approved welding techniques.
• Fabricate, cut, and assemble metal parts as required.
• Read and interpret technical drawings, blueprints and measurements.
• Select appropriate materials and welding methods for each task.
• Inspect welds for defects and carry out necessary repairs.
• Operate welding and fabrication tools safely and maintain equipment.
• Follow occupational safety procedures and wear required PPE.
• Report progress, material needs and any equipment issues to supervisors.
• Travel between project sites and be available for overtime or relocation as needed.

Required profile

• Minimum 2 years (24 months) of hands‑on welding or metal fabrication experience.
• Physical fitness to work in demanding environments.
• Willingness to work flexible hours, travel and relocate for projects.
• Basic understanding of technical drawings and measurements.
• Welding certification is an advantage.
