Work Control Center Clerk – Material Coordinator

About the role

The Work Control Center Clerk – Material Coordinator provides administrative and material coordination support for facilities maintenance and work control operations on the remote U.S. Navy installation at Diego Garcia. The role ensures that all required materials are available, tracked, and delivered to support mission‑critical maintenance work orders.

Key responsibilities

• Review work orders to identify material requirements.
• Coordinate with supply, warehouse, and maintenance personnel to order, receive, stage, and issue materials.
• Update work management and inventory systems with material status.
• Communicate material availability or delays to supervisors and technicians.
• Maintain material records, reconcile receipts, and support inventory accountability.
• Prepare reports and assist with audits or inspections.

Required profile

• 1–3 years of clerical, material coordination, logistics, or administrative support experience.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Valid passport with at least one year remaining at hiring.
• Ability to pass contract medical requirements and obtain facility credentials.
• Willingness to work in an austere OCONUS environment.

Required skills

• Basic knowledge of material tracking and inventory control processes.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications.
• Experience using computerized work management or inventory systems.
