Workshop Supervisor

About the role

The Workshop Supervisor will lead daily operations in our manufacturing workshop, ensuring production targets are met while maintaining high quality and safety standards. This role reports to senior management and coordinates a team of skilled craftsmen.

Key responsibilities

• Supervise and coordinate daily workshop activities, allocate tasks and monitor performance.
• Ensure production schedules are achieved and minimise downtime.
• Conduct quality inspections, identify defects and implement corrective actions.
• Oversee proper use and preventive maintenance of machinery, tools and equipment.
• Manage raw material usage, coordinate requisitions and support inventory control.
• Enforce health and safety procedures, conduct briefings and investigate incidents.
• Lead, train and mentor workshop staff, monitor attendance and productivity.
• Prepare daily, weekly and monthly production reports and recommend improvements.

Required profile

• Minimum 3 years supervisory experience in a carpentry, woodworking, metal fabrication or plastic manufacturing workshop.
• Proven ability to manage workshop teams and production processes.
• Strong leadership, problem‑solving and decision‑making capabilities.
• Ability to read and interpret technical drawings.
• Knowledge of workshop operations, preventive maintenance and inventory management.
