Accounts Receivable Specialist

About the role

The Accounts Receivable Specialist supports the finance function by processing customer payments, issuing accurate invoices, maintaining up‑to‑date AR records, and ensuring timely reconciliation of customer accounts in line with company policies and Kenyan tax regulations.

Key responsibilities

• Verify and record customer payments received from the Sales Department in the ERP system.
• Generate and issue tax‑compliant invoices through the ETR system, ensuring they are supported by approved sales documentation.
• Reconcile customer accounts, resolve routine discrepancies, and prepare statements as needed.
• Update AR records daily, produce routine reports, and assist with month‑end and year‑end closing activities.
• Coordinate with Sales, Finance, and Customer Service teams to resolve billing issues and respond to customer inquiries.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Commerce or a related field.
• 1–3 years of experience in Accounts Receivable, Accounting or Finance.
• Familiarity with ERP or accounting systems is an advantage.

Required skills

• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
• Experience using ERP or other accounting software.
