Adjunct Faculty – Criminal Justice & Homeland Security

About the role

Hudson County Community College is seeking qualified adjunct faculty to teach courses in Criminal Justice and/or Homeland Security within the School of Humanities and Social Sciences. This part‑time position involves delivering high‑quality instruction, preparing course materials, and supporting student learning.

Key responsibilities

• Deliver lectures, facilitate discussions, and assess student performance for assigned credit courses.
• Develop and update syllabi, lesson plans, and instructional resources aligned with college standards.
• Maintain regular office hours to provide academic advising and mentorship.
• Participate in faculty meetings, departmental events, and professional development activities.
• Ensure compliance with accreditation requirements and institutional policies.

Required profile

• Master’s degree or higher in Criminal Justice, Homeland Security, or a closely related field.
• Demonstrated ability to teach at the community college level or equivalent experience.
• Strong communication skills and a commitment to student success.
• Eligibility to work in the United States.
