Administrative Assistant – Public Relations & Media

About the role

The University’s Public Relations & Media Office is looking for an Administrative Assistant (UAE Nationals) to support media and PR activities that enhance the institution’s image. The role is based at the Al Ain campus and works closely with internal teams and external partners.

Key responsibilities

• Assist in planning and executing media and public‑relations campaigns.
• Collect information and media assets from internal departments.
• Draft initial content for news releases, blog posts and social‑media updates in Arabic and English.
• Manage and update university social‑media accounts in coordination with the communications team.
• Support coverage of university events across various media platforms.
• Coordinate design and advertisement preparation with internal stakeholders.
• Prepare periodic reports on campaigns and media activities.
• Liaise with external entities and coordinate between Al Ain and Abu Dhabi campuses as required.
• Verify accuracy of all published content and maintain media archives.

Required profile

• 0–2 years of experience in media or public relations.
• Strong Arabic writing skills; English proficiency is an advantage.
• Excellent communication, interpersonal and organizational abilities.
• Ability to manage multiple tasks, work in a team and adapt to feedback.
• Basic knowledge of social‑media platforms and content types.
• Familiarity with simple design tools such as Canva.

Required skills

• Canva (or similar design tool) for basic graphic creation.
• Proficiency with major social‑media platforms (e.g., Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, LinkedIn).
