AGE Technician

About the role

Amentum is seeking an AGE Technician to support a critical United States Navy program on Diego Garcia. The successful candidate will ensure that Aerospace Ground Equipment (AGE) remains operational, safe, and compliant with all applicable standards.

Key responsibilities

• Perform inspections, preventive maintenance, and servicing tasks on AGE as defined by contract requirements.
• Troubleshoot and diagnose malfunctions across electrical, pneumatic, hydraulic, and mechanical subsystems.
• Execute repairs, overhauls, and modifications to maintain or improve equipment performance.
• Assess equipment serviceability and decide on repair versus replacement according to technical guidelines.
• Document all work, including inspection reports, maintenance records, and repair logs.
• Maintain inventory of tools, consumables, and spare parts needed for AGE operations.
• Adhere strictly to safety practices, personal protective equipment (PPE) requirements, and environmental regulations.
• Communicate equipment status and repair timelines to supervisors and team members.

Required profile

• Minimum two (2) years of experience inspecting, maintaining, troubleshooting, and repairing AGE or similar equipment.
• High school diploma or equivalent; additional technical training is a plus.
• Ability to read and interpret technical manuals, schematics, and diagrams.
• Commitment to occupational safety and health standards.
