Architect

About the role

We are seeking a qualified Architect to lead the design and delivery of residential, commercial and mixed‑use projects for our real‑estate portfolio in Nairobi. You will be responsible for turning concepts into buildable solutions while ensuring compliance with local regulations and cost efficiency.

Key responsibilities

• Develop innovative architectural designs and concepts for various property types.
• Produce concept, schematic, detailed and construction drawings, specifications and related documentation.
• Provide architectural input for feasibility studies, space planning and development strategies.
• Coordinate planning and building approvals, ensuring compliance with codes and regulations.
• Collaborate with structural, civil, mechanical, electrical and other consultants.
• Conduct site visits and supervise construction to verify adherence to approved designs and quality standards.
• Recommend value‑engineering solutions to optimise costs without compromising quality.
• Liaise with developers, contractors, authorities and other stakeholders.
• Maintain accurate project documentation and provide regular updates.
• Stay informed on industry trends, sustainability practices and emerging design technologies.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Architecture from a recognised institution.
• Registration with the Board of Registration of Architects and Quantity Surveyors (BORAQS) or equivalent professional body.
• Minimum 5 years of architectural experience, preferably in real‑estate or property development.
• Proven track record of managing projects from concept through construction to completion.
• Experience coordinating multidisciplinary consultants and contractors.
