About the role
The Assistant Fleet Coordinator will ensure the smooth daily operation of the company’s vehicle fleet. Working on‑site in Nairobi, you will support drivers, monitor vehicle conditions and help minimise downtime and costs.
Key responsibilities
- Plan and allocate vehicles for daily tasks, ensuring timely deployment and return.
- Track real‑time vehicle status, including mileage, fuel consumption, cleanliness and roadworthiness.
- Conduct routine vehicle inspections and coordinate preventive maintenance.
- Maintain accurate fleet records, documentation and compliance logs.
- Assist in managing fleet-related incidents and coordinate with service providers.
Required profile
- Minimum Diploma qualification.
- At least 3 years (36 months) of experience in fleet, logistics or transport coordination.
- Strong organisational and analytical abilities.
- Ability to work independently and support a team of drivers.
Required skills
- Proficiency in using fleet management or tracking tools.
- Basic knowledge of vehicle maintenance procedures.
- Effective record‑keeping and reporting skills.
