Associate Director – Building Consultancy

About the role

CHPK Group, part of the Celnor Group, is seeking an experienced Associate Director to lead its Building Consultancy service line. This senior leadership position combines technical oversight, commercial management, and people development across a diverse portfolio of projects.

Key responsibilities

• Support the strategic growth and development of the Building Consultancy service line.
• Lead delivery of Building Surveying, Project Management, Contract Administration, Employer’s Agent and Technical Due Diligence services.
• Oversee project quality, commercial performance, resourcing and workload management.
• Build and maintain strong client relationships while identifying new business opportunities.
• Support fee proposals, budgets, forecasting and commercial negotiations.
• Mentor and develop colleagues, including APC candidates and professional development.
• Contribute to internal procedures, governance, quality standards and continuous improvement.

Required profile

• Significant experience within a Building Consultancy or related multidisciplinary consultancy.
• Proven commercial awareness and ability to manage budgets and forecasts.
• Strong leadership and people‑management skills, with experience mentoring junior staff.
• Excellent client‑facing abilities and a track record of business development.
• Ability to think strategically while delivering high‑quality technical outcomes.
