Associate HR Business Partner

About the role

The role covers the employee life cycle from onboarding to exit, keeps employee records and HR systems accurate, and handles first‑line queries from employees and line managers. It is ideal for someone early in an HR career who wants to learn business partnering while performing operational work under the guidance of an experienced HRBP.

Key responsibilities

• Maintain accurate employee data in the HR information system and process joiners, movers and leavers.
• Coordinate inductions, prepare paperwork and system access for new hires and support them through probation.
• Answer employee queries on policy, leave, medical cover and benefits, escalating complex matters to the HR Business Partner.
• Assist with interview scheduling, candidate communication, reference checks and offer documentation.
• Take minutes at disciplinary and grievance meetings, maintain case files and track probation and performance improvement plans.
• Prepare monthly headcount, leave, attrition and probation reports and flag data inconsistencies.
• Support engagement activities, wellbeing sessions and policy awareness initiatives.

Required profile

• A degree in Human Resource Management or a related field.
• 1–2 years of HR experience (including internships, attachments or HR assistant roles).
• Registration with the Institute of Human Resource Management (advantageous).
• Strong organisational and attention‑to‑detail skills with the ability to manage multiple requests.
• Discretion in handling private employee information.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Experience interacting with HRIS systems and proficiency in computer applications.
