Associate Human Resources Business Partner (Remote)

About the role

We are seeking a detail‑oriented and people‑focused Associate Human Resources Business Partner to support employees on medical leave across multiple states. The role is fully remote, full‑time, and focuses on ensuring compliance with federal and state leave laws while delivering compassionate support.

Key responsibilities

• Leave administration: coordinate and manage FMLA and state‑mandated leaves, ensuring compliance and accuracy.
• Employee support: guide employees and managers through the leave process with clear communication.
• Case management: maintain HRIS records, certifications, and confidential documentation.
• Compliance communication: provide timely notices, forms, and updates throughout the leave cycle.
• Problem solving: investigate potential fraudulent activity and resolve escalations with sound judgment.
• Cross‑functional collaboration: partner with HR, managers, and employees to ensure smooth case handling.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration or a related field, or equivalent experience.
• 3–5 years of HR experience, preferably in leave management.
• Strong knowledge of employment laws and multi‑state regulations.
• Advanced English proficiency (C1 level); bilingual English/Spanish is a plus.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

Required skills

• Proficiency in Microsoft Office.
