About the role
We are seeking a driven Software Engineer to build and scale Aceli’s Salesforce‑based platform. You will design, develop, and maintain system features, translating complex business processes into scalable, user‑friendly solutions. While Salesforce experience is a plus, strong Java or object‑oriented programming experience is sufficient to transition into Apex.
Key responsibilities
- Feature Development – Build and maintain features on Aceli’s Salesforce platform using Apex, SOQL, Lightning Web Components, Flow, validation rules and other platform capabilities. Create configurable solutions with custom metadata to minimise hard‑coding.
- System Design & Problem Solving – Analyse complex operational processes and design efficient, user‑friendly, and scalable system solutions that improve automation and reduce manual work.
- Code Quality & Code Review – Champion code health by leading peer reviews, establishing automated testing standards, maintaining coding standards, and supporting unit, end‑to‑end and user‑acceptance testing.
- Integrations & APIs – Design, build, and maintain integrations between Salesforce and external systems using REST APIs, ensuring data integrity across platforms.
- Documentation & Technical Support – Document technical solutions, system architecture, deployments and user guides, and assist internal teams in troubleshooting issues.
Required profile
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Systems or related field.
- 2–5 years of professional software engineering experience with strong Java or other OOP language background.
- Experience with frameworks such as Spring Boot and relational databases (SQL) is a strong plus.
- Solid understanding of REST API design and integration patterns.
- Familiarity with the full Software Development Life Cycle, Agile methodologies, version control (Git) and robust testing/release processes.
- Ability to build flexible, configurable systems that enable non‑technical users to manage business logic.
