Associate Teller (Lamu)

About the role

The Associate Teller will serve customers at I&M Bank, handling a range of daily banking transactions while ensuring compliance with bank policies. This position is based in Westlands and focuses on delivering accurate and efficient service.

Key responsibilities

• Process customer deposits, withdrawals, transfers, and other banking transactions accurately and efficiently.
• Verify and process in‑house cheques, ensuring legitimacy and timely payment.
• Accept and validate outward cheques, VAT and PAYE payments with proper documentation.
• Handle prepaid, multi‑currency, and Narada card transactions while maintaining security.
• Conduct daily callbacks, transaction verification, and maintain organized filing for compliance.
• Cross‑sell bank products by identifying customer needs and promoting suitable services.
• Provide prompt, professional assistance to resolve customer enquiries.
• Reconcile till cash daily and manage cash limits in line with approved thresholds.

Required profile

• At least 1 month of experience in banking or related financial services.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to follow established procedures.
• Effective communication skills for handling customer interactions.
