Backend Developer Internship (3 months)

About the role

Terra Softech is looking for a Backend Developer Intern to join its engineering team for a 12‑week summer project. You will work alongside experienced engineers to build, improve, and deliver high‑performance, secure backend services that power e‑commerce applications.

Key responsibilities

• Develop efficient, highly scalable, and secure services for e‑commerce products.
• Optimize backend systems for data security, modularity, and computational efficiency.
• Design and implement data services and analytics platforms.
• Apply best‑in‑class privacy and data‑security engineering practices.
• Collaborate on code reviews, testing, and performance tuning.

Required profile

• Currently pursuing a B.S. or M.S. in Computer Science or a related field, graduating between Fall 2025 and Summer 2026.
• Available to work full‑time for 12 weeks during Summer 2026.
• Authorized to work in the country of employment at hire and throughout the internship.
• Familiarity with backend development and at least one language such as Java, Golang, Python, Scala or C++.
• Basic understanding of data structures, algorithms, networking, data security, and scalable system design.
• Experience with common databases and messaging frameworks (e.g., MySQL, Redis, Kafka).
