About the role
The Associate Teller will work at I&M Bank in Garissa, delivering front‑line banking services to customers. This role focuses on accurate transaction processing, cash handling, and providing prompt assistance to meet client needs while supporting the bank’s operational standards.
Key responsibilities
- Process customer deposits, withdrawals, transfers and other banking transactions in line with bank policies.
- Verify and process in‑house cheques, ensuring legitimacy and timely payment.
- Accept and validate outward cheques, VAT and PAYE payments with proper documentation.
- Handle prepaid, multi‑currency and Narada card transactions while maintaining security.
- Conduct daily transaction verification callbacks and maintain organized filing for compliance.
- Identify customer needs and cross‑sell appropriate bank products and services.
- Respond to customer enquiries promptly and professionally.
- Reconcile till cash daily and manage cash limits according to approved thresholds.
Required profile
- Minimum of 1 month experience in banking or a related customer‑service environment.
