Bar Soap Line Head

About the role

We are seeking a Bar Soap Line Head to lead daily operations of our soap manufacturing line in Westlands. The role ensures production targets are achieved while maintaining high standards of quality, safety, and efficiency.

Key responsibilities

• Supervise daily operations of the bar soap production line (mixing, milling, plodding, cutting, stamping and cutting).
• Ensure production targets are met in terms of quantity, quality and timeline.
• Monitor process parameters and ensure adherence to approved formulations and SOPs.
• Coordinate with maintenance to ensure proper machine operation and minimize downtime.
• Enforce GMP, safety and hygiene rules on the line.
• Conduct line clearance, start‑up and changeover activities.
• Identify process deviations and implement corrective and preventive actions (CAPA).
• Supervise, train and evaluate line operators and technicians.
• Maintain proper documentation (batch records, logbooks, deviation reports).
• Coordinate with QC for in‑process checks and final product release.
• Control material usage and minimize waste and rework.
• Participate in audits, inspections and continuous improvement activities.

Required profile

• Diploma in Mechanical Engineering or a related field.
• 3‑5 years of experience in bar soap manufacturing.
• Strong knowledge of bar soap processes and machinery.
• Familiarity with GMP, safety and quality systems.
• Good leadership and problem‑solving abilities.
