Barista – Java Express (Total Kisii)

About the role

We are looking for an enthusiastic Barista to join our Java Express outlet in Total Kisii. You will be responsible for preparing a variety of hot and cold beverages, delivering excellent customer service, and maintaining a clean and efficient counter.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare and serve coffee, tea, artisan and specialty drinks according to standard recipes.
• Interact with customers, take orders, and ensure timely delivery of take‑away and dine‑in orders.
• Maintain stock levels, perform daily stock‑take, and advise the senior barista on inventory needs.
• Keep the counter, pastry case and equipment clean and organized throughout the shift.
• Handle cash, manage shift float, and ensure accurate cash‑up at the end of the day.
• Monitor waste, control change, and follow all SOPs and hygiene standards.
• Collaborate with team members to create a positive customer experience.

Required profile

• Minimum 1 month of experience in a café or hospitality environment.
• Diploma or associate degree (any field).
• Strong interpersonal skills, reliability and ability to work under pressure.
• Willingness to undergo in‑house barista training.
