Biometrics Consultant (Full‑Time)

About the role

The Centre for International Forestry Research (CIFOR) is seeking qualified consultancy candidates to provide expertise in biometrics. This full‑time position is based in Nairobi, Westlands, and supports the Centre’s research and development activities.

Key responsibilities

• Deliver consultancy services related to biometric data collection, analysis and interpretation.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary and multicultural project teams.
• Contribute to the preparation of reports, presentations and scientific publications.
• Support knowledge‑sharing initiatives and continuous improvement processes within the organization.

Required profile

• Relevant university degree in a scientific or technical field.
• Fluent spoken and written English.
• Proficiency in one or more additional international languages is an advantage.
• Demonstrated experience working in multicultural, multidisciplinary teams, preferably in a non‑profit setting.
• Strong interpersonal and communication abilities.
