Brandshop Intern

About the role

We are looking for a Brandshop Intern to support the daily operations of our Brand Shop in Nairobi. The intern will assist with merchandise sales, inventory control, stock coordination and customer service, helping to maintain an efficient and welcoming retail environment.

Key responsibilities

• Support receipt, quality‑check inspection and reconciliation of incoming merchandise against purchase orders and delivery notes.
• Maintain accurate inventory records, track stock levels, items sold and surplus stock.
• Identify and flag damaged, missing or incorrectly supplied items for resolution.
• Assist the Brandshop Associate in keeping optimal stock levels to avoid overstocking, wastage and stockouts.
• Participate in stock‑taking exercises and reconcile physical stock with system records.
• Coordinate timely dispatch of branded merchandise to branches and other departments.
• Provide excellent customer service, helping customers select and package merchandise.
• Support sales promotions, discounts and other Brand Shop initiatives.
• Ensure the shop floor and storage areas remain clean, organized and visually appealing.
• Log customer orders in Mail Matrix and issue appropriate gate passes.
• Perform any other duties assigned as needed.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree or Diploma in Procurement, Supply Chain Management, Marketing, Business Administration or a related field.
• Recent graduate or candidate seeking practical experience in retail operations, inventory management or customer service.
• Basic understanding of stock control and inventory management processes is an advantage.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, especially Excel, Word and PowerPoint.
• Familiarity with a POS system or KRA iTax System is a plus.
