Business Coach – CASHA Programme (Turkana)

About the role

The CASHA Business Coach will support young entrepreneurs and small‑scale enterprises in Turkana, focusing on livestock and agricultural value chains. You will work closely with the Boma Project team to deliver business development services that drive growth and social inclusion in arid and semi‑arid lands.

Key responsibilities

• Provide mentorship and coaching to micro‑enterprise startups, helping them refine business models and market entry strategies.
• Collect, enter, and analyse market and business data to generate actionable insights for clients.
• Facilitate linkages between SMEs and market opportunities, especially within livestock and agriculture sectors.
• Deliver training sessions on business development, financial management, and data‑driven decision making.
• Travel within the assigned county using a motorcycle, ensuring regular field visits and follow‑up support.

Required profile

• Degree in Business, Commerce, Economics, Entrepreneurship, Agriculture, or Livestock.
• 3‑5 years experience working with youth, SMEs, and value‑chain actors in ASAL regions.
• Proven track record delivering business development services and fostering inclusive growth.
• Resident of the county where CASHA is implemented and holder of a valid A1/A2 motorcycle licence.

• Salesforce (preferred).
• Microsoft Office suite.
