Business Coach for CASHA Program in Makueni

About the role

The CASHA Business Coach will support young entrepreneurs and small‑medium enterprises (SMEs) in Makueni County, focusing on livestock and agricultural value chains. You will deliver business development services, mentor start‑ups, and help them access markets.

Key responsibilities

• Provide one‑on‑one coaching and mentorship to micro‑enterprise owners.
• Design and implement business development services (BDS) that promote growth and social inclusion in ASAL regions.
• Conduct market research, identify entry strategies, and advise on market trends.
• Collect, enter, and analyse field data to generate actionable insights for decision‑making.
• Facilitate data‑driven monitoring and reporting for the CASHA programme.
• Travel within the assigned county using a motorcycle, ensuring regular field visits.

Required profile

• Degree in Business, Commerce, Economics, Entrepreneurship, Agriculture or Livestock.
• 3‑5 years experience working with youth, SMEs, and value‑chain actors.
• Proven experience delivering BDS and fostering inclusive growth in ASAL regions.
• Valid A1/A2 motorcycle licence and resident of the implementation county.
• Strong interpersonal, communication and problem‑solving abilities.
