Business Development Manager

About the role

We are looking for a dynamic Business Development Manager to drive growth of our advanced power‑electronics portfolio in Kenya. The role bridges complex engineering solutions with strategic sales, focusing on IGBT‑based PWM static voltage regulators and related products.

Key responsibilities

• Promote and sell IGBT‑based PWM static voltage regulators, stabilizers, transformers and allied products.
• Analyse client power‑quality requirements, conduct site assessments and propose optimal technical solutions to consultants, OEMs and industrial end‑users.
• Identify and develop new business opportunities, build relationships with industrial clients and manage sub‑dealership networks.
• Deliver technical seminars, product demonstrations and presentations to engineering and procurement teams.
• Collaborate with R&D and manufacturing to convey customer requirements and customise solutions.
• Monitor competitor offerings, market trends and emerging power‑quality demands.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical/Electronics Engineering (B.E./B.Tech) – MBA in Marketing is a plus.
• Approximately 5 years of proven experience in technical sales, application engineering or business development within power‑quality, industrial automation or electrical equipment.
• Willingness to travel to client sites and industrial hubs.
• Strong commercial acumen with a track record of meeting B2B sales targets.

Required skills

• Interpretation of electrical schematics and single‑line diagrams.
• Power‑quality assessment and solution selling.
• Knowledge of IGBT‑based PWM technology and static voltage regulation.
