Clinical Operations Manager

About the role

The Clinical Operations Manager will lead the delivery of high‑quality healthcare services at Maimoon Hospital in Malindi. Reporting to the Managing Director/CEO, you will be responsible for overseeing daily clinical operations, ensuring compliance with standards, and driving continuous improvement in patient care.

Key responsibilities

• Oversee daily clinical operations, ensuring efficient, high‑quality service delivery.
• Ensure compliance with clinical protocols, healthcare policies, infection‑prevention measures and safety procedures.
• Monitor patient care standards, service quality and patient‑satisfaction outcomes.
• Coordinate workflow, staffing and resource allocation to maximise operational efficiency.
• Develop and implement operational strategies to improve productivity and healthcare delivery.
• Supervise, mentor and manage clinical and operational teams, conducting performance reviews and supporting professional development.
• Maintain compliance with healthcare regulations, legal requirements and professional practice standards.
• Oversee risk management, quality assurance, incident reporting and corrective actions.
• Prepare operational reports, manage departmental budgets and resource utilisation.
• Coordinate procurement and proper use of medical and operational resources.
• Foster relationships with healthcare professionals, patients, suppliers and regulatory agencies.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Clinical Medicine, Nursing, Health Systems Management, Public Health, Healthcare Administration, Medicine and Surgery or a related field.
• Master’s degree in Healthcare Management, Hospital Administration, Public Health or Business Administration (MBA) is preferred.
• Minimum of 5 years (60 months) of senior‑level experience in clinical operations or hospital management.
• Proven ability to lead multidisciplinary teams and drive operational excellence.
• Strong knowledge of healthcare regulations, quality standards and risk‑management processes.
