Communications Intern

About the role

The Kenya National Farmers' Federation is looking for a motivated Communications Intern to support its communications team. You will help create and share content that raises the federation’s profile across multiple channels.

Key responsibilities

• Draft, edit, and proofread press releases, articles, newsletters and reports.
• Assist in managing and creating content for the federation’s social media platforms and website.
• Capture project activities through photography, video and written summaries.
• Design promotional materials such as posters, flyers and banners.
• Maintain an organized archive of communication assets and media files.
• Provide general support to the communications team as needed.

Required profile

• Diploma or degree in Communications, Journalism, Public Relations, Media Studies or a related field.
• Strong written and verbal communication abilities.
• Creative, proactive and able to work both independently and within a team.
• Basic computer literacy.

Required skills

• Basic knowledge of graphic‑design tools such as Canva or Adobe Photoshop.
• Familiarity with social‑media management.
• Photography and video‑capture skills.
